First Post!

Hi everyone!

Thanks for taking the time to view this blog. Obviously the look of the blog is in its initial stages (v0.00001 I’d assume) so I’m excited to work on it and make it more enjoyable for both of us to look at.

This first post is going to be pretty small, as I just want to explain what this blog / website is all about. Basically this is going to be a blog where I post about my own professional life and the challenges / rewards that come from it, as well as another blog which will be called “Code In Plain English”. The latter will be where I will try to boil down different topics in tech into the most English and non-technical concepts to let people understand what is going on in the first place as well as get a more in-depth understanding of the subject. I am very eager to start this project as this will help me work on my non-technical communication skills, as well as hopefully provide some easily-digestible information to those of you who want to know what’s going on in tech, but have nowhere to start. As I mention in my About Me, I did not go to school for computer science but rather political science. I remember quite vividly the struggle of understanding the concepts heavily-used in software engineering, and wish I had someone sit down with me and use English (no, not tech English) to really break it down so I could understand at a more fundamental level.
